Amongst the awards, GJ's Landscapes won the Commercial Landscaping Category with their landscape of the Nexus Building which the judges commented was highly successful in its relationship with the two street frontages. Capital Corporation also won with the Nexus Building in the Commercial / Industrial / Public Developments – The judges commenting that The Nexus Building delivers a new standard of commercial office space by combining exceptional design, finishes and choices of materials.

The Nexus Norwest building was officially opened by Clr Sonya Philips, (then) Mayor of Baulkham Hills Council on 18 April 2008 in front of an audience of approximately 150 owners, tenants, Councillors, agents and the press, as well as members of the teams of contractors involved in the construction of the building.
